Welcome To Our Website

From the comfort of cyberland you can follow our journey from Land's End to John O'Groats. We hope to make it an epic venture covering the length of Great Britain. Follow our preparations, trials, tribulations, joy and ecstasy along the way. Ahead of us is an immense challenge and with the help of tinternet you can track us all the way. We have assembled a small team to undertake the trip unsupported and each of us has our own reasons for taking part;

Gareth's Story

When I was diagnosed with Leukaemia, I decided it was time to get on and do the things that I had always dreamed of doing. Inspired by Jane Tomlinson it occurred to me that I should also try to raise money for Leukaemia Research along the way. At the same time, I would improve my fitness for further challenges to come. Lejog will require improvements in my strength, stamina and will power and I will be undertaking intensive training to achieve this. Thanks to my wonderful wife Lee for allowing me my many indulgences! Thanks also to Shaun and Sarah for coming along to make sure I don't get lonely and make a mess of things - 'which way is North?', 'Is this road a motorway?' - stuff like that and for also building this excellent website.

Sarah's Story

I am the smallest member of the small team and I just signed up for the ecstasy.

Seriously though. Since being a small child I have harboured an interest in exploring and walking and more recently cycling, away from, to, around and through the countryside. Preferably Britain or somewhere where I speak their language and you can drink the water. So Lowestoft is out. Much like a Famous Five story I am expecting a happy cycling holiday (minus the dog) and lashings of ginger beer.

Shaun's Story

Shaun is a simple lad who just wants to tag along with his chums. We haven't told him how far it is. We only hope that his Raleigh Chopper is up to the task.
